Automobile Accident

In 2005 alone, 43,614 people died and more than 2.6
million were injured in motor vehicle accidents in the
United States. That's 119 deaths, on average, each day —
or one every 12 minutes.
As anyone who's been in an auto accident knows, the
damage can be far-reaching. Beyond vehicle damage or
damage to public or private property, personal injuries
resulting from car crashes can take an enormous toll on
an individual's health, finances and quality of life.
Who is Really at Fault?
If you or someone you love has been injured in an auto
accident, you may be entitled to collect damages from
the responsible party or parties. An attorney
experienced in auto accident cases can help determine
exactly who is at fault and whether or not you have a
basis for a legal claim.
Remember, the law limits the amount of time you have to
file suit after being injured, and failure to act
quickly could affect your ability to file a claim. Don't
delay —

 Personal Injury
A personal injury is described as any
harm caused to a person, such as a broken bone, a cut, a
bruise or slander. Any type of bodily injury as a result of
an attack, negligence, or accident can also be categorized
as the same, and you can file a lawsuit to recover damages
from whoever is responsible for your injuries.
- On average, 11,200 disabling accidental injuries take place every hour each year.
- Falls are the most common accident at construction sites.
- Each year, nearly 11,000 Americans suffer a traumatic spinal cord injury. Many of them suffer permanent disabilities.
Workers' Compensation
Workers Compensation laws are in place to
provide medical and financial benefits to employees who have
been injured on the job. These laws are in place to protect
both workers and their employers. Workers receive monetary
and medical protection under Oklahoma Workers Compensation
laws in that if they are injured on the job their medical
care is taken care of and they receive fixed monetary
amounts to compensate for lost wages at work. These benefits
are provided in exchange for the forfeited right to sue the
employer and are fixed amounts to avoid litigation. The
employer thus benefits from this exchange in that they
essentially receive immunity from lawsuits originated by the
employee, and they only have limited liability for their
workplace. Generally, when a person is injured while at
work, they are limited to remedies available under Workers
Compensation laws.

Family Law

with all aspects of family relations. Family law
encompasses: adoption, child custody and visitation,
children's rights, child support, marriage and pre-marital
agreements, separation agreements, divorce (sometimes called
dissolution of marriage), military divorce, spousal support
(alimony), marital property division (equitable division),
elder law matters, general estate planning, cohabitation
agreements, and other legal issues pertinent to the family.
Each case is different and carries its own set of
circumstances which must be taken into consideration by

Criminal Law
Unlike civil law, which involves private
law suits between two or more private entities, Criminal Law
Attorneys represent clients who are being prosecuted by the
state or federal government for an act that has been
classified as a crime. With the exception of strict
liability crimes, most crimes consist of three elements: an
act (actus reus), a mental state (mens rea) and the intent
to do social harm. Crimes are classified as
misdemeanors--less serious offenses that are normally
punishable by a fine like some traffic violations, petty
theft, or possession of a small amount of marijuana, and
felonies--more serious offenses that warrant imprisonment of
one or more years, such as rape, grand theft, assault and
battery, assault with a deadly weapon, or homicide/murder.
In criminal law, the suit is initiated by the state or
federal government through a prosecutor rather than being
initiated by the victim, as it is in civil law. Plaintiffs
in a civil law suit only need to show by a preponderance of
the evidence that a defendant is 51% or more liable
(responsible) for the damages. But, the prosecutor in a
criminal law case has to prove to the judge or jury "beyond
a reasonable doubt" that the defendant is guilty of the
crime charged.
You are innocent until you are proven
guilty. An experienced Criminal Law Attorney may think that
the evidence against you is not enough to prove that you are
guilty. For more information about your specific case,

turned down. A lawyer can improve your chances significantly
by presenting your case in the most favorable light.
Our lawyers have had success in disability cases at all

defined as mistakes considered below the standard level of
care made by a healthcare provider that causes personal
injury to the patient.
Medical malpractice takes many different forms; surgical
errors, amputation errors, emergency room mistakes, failure
to diagnose illness, birth injuries, emergency room
mistakes, improper pre-operational/ post-op procedure, etc.
No matter what kind of medical malpractice experienced, in
the eyes of the law the patient must have suffered a
